Would you pay for Facebook?

OK. Time for some thoughts about Facebook…

I’ve been getting a lot of invitations, like “We refuse to pay for Facebook – We are gone if this happens” and  “I will not pay for facebook from july 2010″ lately, and I’ve got something to say about you guys who joins these groups (and keep inviting me)…

First off all:

Yes you will. You fucking will!

Some concerns and some statistics…

I checked out three different statistics for my blog today, and I have to say I’m both concerned, or a bit upset if you will, and also intrigued by what I found.

Turns out that I have almost a 50/50 split between Microsoft Windows users and Mac OS X users among my visitors.

46.5% of my visitors are on some kind of Windows-based system. 46.4% of you are Mac-users.

GUIDE: Mac OS X, Popcorn Hour A-110, YAMJ & The ÆON Movie Wall Skin…

This post is kind of a follow-up on my review of the Popcorn Hour A-110, and will cover installation of YAMJ – Yet Another Movie Jukebox, and the fabulous ÆON Movie Wall Skin together with some nice mods. The guide is intended for Mac OS X users, and the reason I’m writing it is because I had a hard time installing YAMJ myself, since all good guides out there seem to be written for Windows users. All the Mac guides I found were poorly written, lacking explanations, jumping over steps and stuff like that (No offence, writers!). When I got the shit working, I came to the conclusion that if the guide(s) I was following had been good, I could have done it in twenty minutes or so, instead of spending hours.

The iMac G3 Project…

I got myself a new computer yesterday!

OK, fair enough – it’s not brand new.
It’s an iMac G3 with a 400 MHz processor, a so-called “Blueberry”. It was released in late 1999, and I remember thinking “Holy shit! That’s a sexy motherfucker!” when it came out. It’s got a 10 GB hdd, 64 MB of memory, a slot-in CD-Rom, “Fast Ethernet”, FireWire and USB.

Want Spotify?

Ok, I’ve been getting alot of requests for Spotify invites, but sadly I only get two of them every month, so it would take me years to invite you all

SO…

Here’s a guide on how to get a Spotify account without invite:

Under the surface…

Just wanted to inform you that if the blog seems strange today the reason is probably one of these:

  • I’ve been playing around with the design, and with some core functions “under the surface”
  • I am in the process of moving everything to a new server
  • I am infected with the infamous H1N1-virus, which – combined with my asthma makes me exhausted just typing on my keyboard

…or any combination of the above.

If there’s any errors or missing pages or posts, please ship me a mail and tell me about it!

iPhone Posting

This is simply yet another test. I am using my iPhone 3G to post this, and if I’m lucky, everything is working just fine!

Ok…

Well well, it’s starting to shape now, this blog of mine.

I’ve managed to adopt the Fjords-theme from Peter Andrej and I think it’s on its way to look ok.
I’ve thrown inmy Twitter-feed, as you can see, and also a RSS feed from Spotify, so you guys can make sure I don’t listen to crappy music and stuff, hehe. Read the rest of this entry »

YEAH!

I just had to get it out of my system – YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Hehe. Ok. Here’s the case:
I am in love with motorcycles at the moment. I do not have the licence to drive, but I have signed up for it.
I have a friend who’s working as a driving instructor, so he’s giving me helpful advice and tips on the way. Read the rest of this entry »

Finally!

Ahh, finally a nice design!

I cruized through all the WordPress themes earlier, and finally I found a nice one!
I believe it’s a “copy” of Lokesh Dhakar’s design – the one he used on his “Huddle Together” blog. On his blog, it was a lot nicer, of course. A small logo, a little more fluid etc. And not dependent on a set width of the page, but this WordPress-version is a nice rip-off anyway.

Now… The plan is to keep this design, and to build my own blog on my own server, and then develop it a bit. I am in the process of moving my server at the moment, and when that’s all done, this site will look a hell of a lot nicer :).

Stay tuned for updates!
